What an exciting time for you and your child, SECOND GRADE, WOW!  I know it is hard to believe that they have grown so much in such a short time.   My name is Donna Jones and I am your child's Second Grade teacher.  I have been a teacher here at FISD for the past 15 years and have been in both the 1st and 2nd grades during that time.  Rest assured, I know where your child is coming from and know where they need to arrive by the end of 2nd grade.  While this will be a challenging year for you and your child, I promise to do all that I can to make this a fun and productive year.  There are several ways that you can help me make that happen.  I will be calling on you for your support with homework, positive attitudes about school, and occasional treats and supplies.  I do realize that times are tight for us all, so I will try to keep all our needs budget friendly.
