Educational Websites

Code

Designed to be fun and engaging, Code.org is a great tool to teach computer science skills to young learners.  This fosters critical thinking skills and creativity which encourages students to become proactive learners.

Chess Kids

Chess Kid is a site we use for playing and practicing the game of Chess.  Lessons are availible online as well as puzzles and games.  I will use this site to practice for UIL competitions this fall. Most students already have an account. 2nd Graders will be introduced this year to the program.

Magic TreehouseTeachers across the country have inspired Mary to create a comprehensive program that allows teachers to expand their use of the Magic Tree House adventures. The program is designed to stimulate kids' interest in subjects across the entire curriculum.
