I graduated from Fairfield High School in 1992. I then attended Navarro College, where I graduated in 1994 with an Associates in Applied Science. After starting a family, I went back to school and graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in December of 1999.

I began my teaching career in August of 2000 where I taught first grade at the elementary school here in Fairfield. I taught first grade for three years, and then I went on to teach 2nd grade for fifteen years. I took a year off after the 2017-2018 school year. I went back to teaching during the 2019-2020 school year as a 4th grade Writing teacher at Fairfield Intermediate School. When an opening came up in 2nd grade during the summer of 2020, I applied, and now I am back at the elementary campus. :)
I have lived in Fairfield all of my life. My husband, James, and I have a 23-year-old son, Jonathan, who is attending TSTC in Waco and a daughter, Lyndsee, who is a 6th grader at Fairfield Junior High.
